Most Romantic Restaurants
These restaurants are romantic for different reasons - some for atmosphere, some for the setting.
Iron Gate Inn - Chosen for the atmosphere
(though the food is great too) this place is ideal in the
summer - and ask to be seated outside - you won't believe
you are in the middle of Washington, DC. Moderate
to expensive. 1734 N Street, NW, (202) 737-1370
|
Tabard Inn - The restaurant itself is charming
and serves classically prepared food - the romantic part
is in the lounge snuggled in front of the fireplace. Just
lovely. Moderate to expensive. 1739 N Street,
NW (202) 331-8528
|
Sequoia - Though this restaurant is enormous,
so you definitely won't get that intimate feeling, the
view of the waterfront is spectacular. They have outdoor
seating when appropriate. Moderate to expensive. 3000
K Street, NW (202) 944-4920
|
Sky Terrace - the perfect place to end
an evening. Have drinks or dessert on top of this hotel
(Hotel Washington) at night - the view is spectacular. The
restaurant also serves dinner but it is nothing special. 515
15th street, NW ( 202)638-5900
|
Marrakesh - An unusual experience - not
for first dates. This restaurant was included because the
atmosphere is unusual and dinner is served in several courses,
taking about three hours to complete. The food is Moroccan,
there are no utensils and there is a belly dancer. Moderately
priced, but watch how much you drink due to the extended
time for dinner! 617 New York Avenue, NW, (202) 393-9393
|
Old Angler's Inn- This place has it all,
the food, the setting and the atmosphere. Closed Mondays,
serving lunch and dinner Tuesday - Saturday, Sunday brunch. 10801
Macarthur Boulevard, Potomac, MD (301)299-9097
